Still thinking of how Twobit knows more than he lets on of the world and of his friends, just how thoughtful and caring he is under the jokes and shoplifting.

Particularly his relationship with Johnny,

it’s mentioned in the book that if it’s not the curtis’s he’ll likely be with Twobit on nights he doesn’t go home. Also how we see two fight back Johnnys mom from a beating and then again at the hospital. Looks out for him. Two bit is a follower, he typically will be in a rumble to back up his buddies so when he’s the one starting something it’s with purpose- every time we see or hear of him doing so it’s defense. For others more than himself. (He still held his own when he was jumped)

Bisexual Ponyboy is someone who has the most impeccable taste in girls (head over heels with Cherry the second he met her) and the most god awful taste in men. He had the most intensely toxic situationship with Mark known to mankind and was actually boyfriends with Curly.

Two-Bit: the other day I dropped my sister off my shoulders and had to play it cool when my mom asked why she was crying (their reaction was disappointed sighs)

Darrel: the other day I snuck out of the house after work when everyone was asleep to get a slushee for myself. Not the first time. (Their reaction was shocked, betrayed gasps)

Sodapop: I had my first kiss with Steve, the second with a a girl at the movies, and my third with Steve. Guess what the others have been (Pony gagged dramatically and they all shrugged)

Ponyboy: one time a kid called me the f-slur at school and I punched him in the jaw and broke it. But I payed him not to tell. (Everyone just sort of stared, and a few questions were later asked)

Steve: one time my dad threw a beer bottle at my head so when he fell asleep I pissed in the bottle he was holding and had to try not to laugh from the kitchen when he spit it out and gagged. (The gang is more surprised at his very blatant trauma than the piss)

Johnny: since I was so quiet at school people used to ask me out at a joke, but one time I said yes back as a joke and they thought I was completely serious and slammed my head into a wall. (He said it so quiet pony had to regain his strength to say it for the gang to hear)

Dallas: one time I drank so much at Bucks I kissed a guy. (The jaw drop would be wild. Not necessarily surprised, though)

Still kills me in the book where Pony and Johnny are like- “yeah he doesn’t have a blade but he does have a bit of busted pipe.” You realize how that’s worse right?

someone said something about two-bit being a floor sitter so here’s what kind of sitter all of the gang is

soda: sprawler. he’s basically a liquid, if there is space he will fill it. he’s constantly got a leg over the arm of the chair or one of the others legs.

steve: elevated surface. my short king loves to sit above everyone else. if he’s not working on a car, he’s sitting on the DX counter. when they watch tv, he’s sitting on the back of the couch. my guy loves anywhere he can kick his little feet and feel tall.

dally: dally hardly ever sits. he is a chronic leaner. he leans against the counter while the others sit at the dinner table, he’ll lean against the doorframe when they’re talking or watching tv. on the rare occasion that he does sit he’s on the corner of the chair. this man is ready to bolt at any second.

ponyboy: ponyboy perches like there is no tomorrow. his favorite spot in the whole house to sit is the arm of the couch. he would sit on top of it but that would mean sitting with steve so he refuses to do it when steve’s around. he’s also been known to eat with one foot on the chair or completely sitting on his feet. it drives darry crazy.

johnny: fetal position. i’ve said it once and ill say it again. he curls into himself. he sits with his feet on the couch, on the dashboard, literally anything he’s just most comfortable with his knees to his chest. ponyboy almost gets mad about the double standard whenever darry tells him to get his feet off of the furniture without telling johnny to, but then he remembers it’s johnny and he lets it go. johnny will usually take his shoes off if he’s on the couch (which he only is if one of the other boys offers a spot, his default is the floor :( ) though out of respect for darry

darry: slumps. of course. when he sits he SITS. this man is gonna rest as much of his body as he can when he gets the chance to sit. and he deserves it. in fact he isn’t the one who claims the recliner as his own, he doesn’t even think of it as his, the other boys just all subconsciously agreed that he gets the recliner because of how hard he works.
